Hello, my name is Uyen. I am a university lecturer specializing in Economics, Finance, and Accounting, with a strong academic background and years of teaching and tutoring experience at both high school and university levels. I hold a Master of Science in Finance from the University of South Florida and have over 9 years of experience guiding students through complex topics in microeconomics, macroeconomics, corporate finance, investment analysis, and accounting principles.
I offer tutoring for IB / AP / A-level / IGCSE / Economics and Business and undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Economics, Finance, and Accounting. My approach focuses on breaking down difficult concepts into clear, practical explanations and applying real-world examples to help students understand and retain knowledge.
I have worked with students from international schools in Vietnam (ISHCM, BIS, SSIS, etc.) as well as university students aiming for top academic performance. Many of my students have gone on to excel in their exams and gain admission to leading universities worldwide.
Whether you’re aiming to strengthen your foundation, prepare for exams, or deepen your understanding of advanced topics, I can provide personalized support to help you achieve your academic goals.
Teaching methods
I make Economics, Finance, and Accounting easier to understand by breaking complex ideas into simple steps and linking them to real-life examples. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level and goals, combining clear explanations, practice questions, and targeted feedback. I aim to help students gain both strong grades and lasting confidence in their skills.
Teaching experiences
I have taught the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, particularly IB Economics (HL/SL) and IB Business Management (HL/SL), IGCSE Economics and Business Studies since 2016. I guide students through syllabus content, internal assessments (IA), and exam preparation, focusing on both theoretical understanding and exam techniques. I have worked with students from international schools in Vietnam (ISHCM, BIS, SSIS, AIS, CIS, etc.) as well as university students aiming for top academic performance. Many of my IB students have achieved top scores (6 and 7) and gained admission to leading universities worldwide.
