What does the IB Diploma involve?
Students take six subjects across the groups: Studies in language and literature, Language acquisition, Individuals and societies, Sciences, Mathematics, and The arts (or an additional subject). Three to four are taken at Higher Level (HL), the rest at Standard Level (SL), each graded 1–7. The core adds Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay (EE) and CAS; TOK and EE together can contribute up to 3 extra points, for a maximum of 45.
