I am comfortable teaching college students and young professionals especially in improving their reading comprehension and writing skills. Both are crucial preparation for those aiming to study abroad or improving their social and technical skills at work. However, I can pitch in speaking classes should the need arises because I am near-native. I had 10 years of experience teaching tertiary level in China.
I am a candidate for degree-conferring in September 2017 for my Masters in Language and Literacy Education from the University of the Philippines, Open University. I hold a BA in Communication Arts from the University of Santo Tomas. Likewise, I have TESOL Certificate. Other work experiences were related to media production for 12 years and direct selling business for 16 years. All these contributed to my learner-oriented approach in teaching ESL.
