Hello! My name is Erica. I am a native English speaker from the USA. I was born in southern California (I love the beach and mountains), but I have lived all over the United States. Before I moved to Vietnam I was a university librarian. I love books!
I have experience with teaching young learners (ages 4 -17), as well as adult learners. I am an energetic and patient teacher. I love to have fun while teaching English. What I like most about teaching is helping the student to achieve their goal. Of the 4 learning skills I like to focus on speaking and listening. My goal is to you improve your pronunciation so that you sound more like a native speaker.
Whether you are planning to take the IELTS, prepping for an interview, or just want to learn for fun, I like creating an easy-going and comfortable learning environment. I am excited to be your new tutor!

I like to have fun when teaching. The main goal of my lesson is to get the student to talk as much as possible. We will talk about topic that you find interesting. In my lessons we will do a lot of free talk, with error correction following. I focus on correct pronunciation to help my students sound more like native speakers. I also like to use real world examples in my lessons such as news articles, travel brochures, college websites, or menus. I believe that practicing with these items will better help you to go to an interview or IELTS exam with confidence. I'm excited to be your new tutor!
