Retired ISHCMC tutor of 30 years experience.

My name is Paul I have led Mathematics Departments in the UK, Colombia, Thailand and at ISHCMC in Vietnam which has given me an intimate knowledge of MYP, IGCSE and all levels of IB Mathematics. Having a degree in Engineering and one in Mathematics influences my approach to problem solving and real-world applications, but my experience as a Head of Department has kept my focus sharply on examination results. A Masters degree in International Education has given me a valuable insight into how students are assessed and what is needed to achieve success.

Tutoring is a joy to me and I hope that my love of mathematics comes through. More than 30 years of service has instilled in me the sheer weight that being responsible for even one hour of student’s education carries and I endeavour to go above and beyond standard practice. I cherish a Most Humorous Teacher award conferred upon me by IB students at ISHCMC, believing that wit and wisdom do go together to create a more relaxed and fertile learning environment.
